38 weeks

I'm at my gma's because we don't have internet and Billy had to work since JB Hunt never closes. We left our house this morning at 7 to make the trip to Tontitown. What were we thinkin?! We made it to the Johnson on ramp, got on the bypass and we're stuck for about 45 min :) My car would not budge. Thankfully, 2 nice guys pushed my car and we made it to Harps where my brother was going to pick us up & take us to my gma's. Well, we couldn't park anywhere because the snow was so deep, so we decided to cross the road & park at the gas station. We got stuck again, in the middle of the road, and there was absolutely nothing anyone could do to help us. Billy called my uncle and he came to tow my car so we didn't have to leave it in the middle of the road. I had to use the restroom cause I'm 38 weeks pregnant and had been holding it in for a good hour, and I almost busted it in the parking lot. I come back to my car, which is still in the middle of the road, and as I get there Billy, my uncle and his friend are hooking up my car to be towed. Praise Jesus they were able to pull it in the parking lot, but I thought they were going to move it a few feet, let me climb in the car and then haul it to the parking lot. Ha poor guys were in the truck and couldn't see me because it was snowing so hard and pulled it down the road and across the parking lot and I was stuck in the middle of the road with traffic on both sides of me :) I got a nice workout trecking through almost 2 feet of snow, in my rainboots, and a big ole belly. It takes 20 min to get to my gma's from our house and we arrived 3 hours later. We were both starving because we didn't have time to eat breakfast before we left the house. Needless to say, it's been an eventful morning.

I took my 38 week picture but forgot my camera this morning to post it, so it may be a few days before I can. I had a doc appt yesterday- I'm 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. He could feel her head and said she's still in the right position for labor :) I almost asked if he could feel hair ha He said if I deliver now, she'd be around 6 lbs 5 oz. Lets hope I don't go into labor any time soon because I would be having a home birth & I'm not sure I'm up for that challenge!

Full Term

Tatum is full term and I got to celebrate by being checked at the doctor...not fun. I really didn't think it was going to be as uncomfortable as it was and I'm not looking forward to next week, ha. I haven't made any progress, which is fine with me because I'd love to be pregnant a few more weeks :). Tatum is still head down and seems to be healthy!

Every week

I had my last two week appt. today and now start going every week. Tatum is head down and ready to rock & roll! I didn't gain any weight since my last appt. which I didn't know could happen during pregnancy, but I guess it's not a big deal. My pregnancy is still going great! I'm still sleeping through the night (probably going to come back to haunt me) & I'm not uncomfortable enough to complain yet. Here's a sneak peak of her curtains in my 35 week picture...

My 35 & 36 week pictures are only 3 days apart but I think she's dropped since Saturday

Conway Baby Shower

I had a Conway shower that my sweet SIL & MIL threw me, Saturday. It was a small, relaxing shower which I loved! Billy & I have been organizing her room & closet to try and fit all her gifts. We have a few more small projects we need to finish and then I'll post nursery pictures!

Baby Shower

Yesterday was so much fun! Some dear friends of mine threw me a wonderful baby shower to celebrate sweet Tatum Paisley! Billy & I are beyond blessed with the amount of family and friends who have showered Tatum with love from day one. We have more gifts than we know what to do with and can't seem to figure out where to put everything :) Billy stayed up till midnight putting all of her gifts together...I never knew putting a stroller together would be so exciting! I forgot my camera so I only have the pictures Elizabeth took (thanks Elizabeth!) I brought our new flip video camera so my mom could record bits of my shower, but I forgot to give it to her...definitely need to be better about taking pictures and such or else we'll have no documentation of our sweet girl!
I have one more shower this weekend that my mother-in-law & sis-in-law are throwing for me, so sweet!

Middle Name

33 weeks

8 months

We decided on Tatum as our girl name when I was 7 weeks pregnant. I really wanted to use a family name for her middle name but there really weren't any that we loved. My mom and MIL both mentioned liking Paisley way before we were pregnant so Billy and I have always kept that in mind for her middle name. We both love Paisley and feel that it is like a family name since both our moms love it. We never officially decided that would be her middle name but we haven't suggested any other names since I was 20 weeks pregnant. So, I'm happy to say we will welcome Tatum Paisley McEntire into the world in 6 weeks or less!
*Tatum: Joyful spirit
*Paisley: Woman of the church
My Fayetteville shower is Sunday and I'm so excited! I just can't believe it's already time for my baby shower...this pregnancy has gone by so fast!
My next post will have lots of pictures of her nursery. It took Billy 3o hours to paint her furniture and he did such a good job!! Her bedding & curtains are complete and they look awesome in her room (Thanks Mom!) I have a few paintings I need to do, add the finishing touches to her changing table and get the rocking chair from my MIL and her room will be complete!!!
