7 Months

Tatum turned 7 months yesterday.so crazy.






At 7 months you:
.weigh a little over 16.5 lbs
.still short-24.5 in long
.wear size 3 diapers
.wear mostly 6-9 months clothes
.have your first cold :( but you don't seem to mind
.talk more than you coo. Sometimes it sounds like you say hi & dada
.sleeping in your crib
.still take AR medicine
.only spit up once or twice a day
.may get teeth soon- I see 2 white buds underneath the surface
.you like to walk in your walker
.still not a fan of bein on your tummy
.you started turning your tongue sideways.I can't, your dad can.
.eat 5 6-8 oz bottles
.started eating baby food.you've had squash & seem to like it

Tates you are such a delight. You are still the happiest baby ever.you make parenting so fun that I'd be fine with 10 kids.you smile at everything and have the sweetest spirit.daddy and I are way more blessed than we thought was possible having you as our daughter.

Play date Thursday

Tatum and I are loving our Play Date Thursday's with my community group girls. I'm so blessed to have these girls in my life and love that Tatum has so many friends to play with :)

I wish

We would've videoed tatum's birth.we threw around the idea but didn't know if we should since it would be my first time giving birth and wanting to have her natural.right after she was born I wished we videoed the whole experience.that day is still crystal clear in my mind but every now and then I have a desire to relive her birth day.if we knew the outcome of that day we would've recorded everything.call me crazy but somedays I miss the pain and discomfort of tatum's birth.she was such an easy baby to labor and deliver.ugh if only I had it on tape.childbirth is so incredible.im in awe of Gods grace over us that day.im so glad he made me a woman.he blessed me with the gift to conceive and carry a baby.to experience a fetus being formed into a child in my womb.to feel what Mary felt giving birth in a stable.I pray if we are blessed with more children that I will be able to have them natural.and we will get it on tape.(but not the gross stuff:)

6 Months

Tatum turned 6 months on Saturday and I still can't believe it.I washed her 6 months and 6-9 months clothes yesterday and just stood at the washing machine baffled.how has she already been on the Earth for half a year?what a blessed 6 months it has been.


At 6 months you:
.weigh around 20 lbs?
.wear size 3 diaper (your daddy is excited bc you fit in the denim diapers)
.eat 6-8 oz 4 times a day
.eat cereal way better than last month
.wear 6 month clothes and some 6-9
.newborn shoes are still big on you
.still take reflux medicine
.spit ups have been much better the last week or two
.started napping in your crib this week but stay upright at night
.having a slight attachment issue with anyone other than momma feeding you (workin on fixin that)
.grab anything in sight
.always playing with your feet or shoving them in your mouth
.like to touch faces
.like to touch different textures
.went on your first vacation and did so great
.nap 3 times a day (you may sleep too much so I'm trackin nap times to ask the doc)
.always smiling or laughing
.still have the sweetest personality
.your hair is growing!!!!
.you'd rather sit than lay
.you're workin on a weird army crawl
.love new toys



You're the best little girl.you never fuss or cry.you are always so so happy and bring so much joy to your momma and daddy.you're the prettiest little girl.i want to keep you tiny but I love watching you change.you definitely have your daddy wrapped around your finger but that's okay because that's the way we want it.we love you sweet girl.

Change

I needed some kind of change with myself so I chopped my hair off and colored it dark auburn. My hair was either in a curly ponytail or a straight ponytail. Stinker likes to pull my hair and never let go so I always had it up.and let's face it, my hair is way too thick and it takes 2 hrs to blow dry and flat iron.no lie.so I always wore my hair curly but I can only do that a few times before my hair is a knotted mess.i always have long hair and needed change.i must say, i enjoy what i see.

5 months

Tatum turned 5 months last Wednesday. Holy cow. How is she that old??



At 5 months you:
.weigh around 16 lbs?
.22 in long (still a shorty)
.eat 8 oz bottle every 3 hrs
.sleep from 7:30-6:30
.nap 3 times a day
.napped in your crib for the first time in 3 months(the incline made you slide sideways).looks like you won't have a problem sleeping in your crib when you're healed from reflux
.always have something in your mouth-hands,nuk,toys.whatever you can get your hands on
.don't enjoy rice cereal so we're trying oatmeal tomorrow
.like to feed yourself a bottle
.sat up twice by yourself with no support on momma's lap
.very stubborn & fight against rolling over.but you spit up every time so maybe you'll learn to crawl first?
.wear 3-6 & 6 month clothes
.tiny feet.nb shoes are STILL big on you
.love getting groceries with momma
.enjoy playing with new toys & bein in your walker
.mr. horse is still your favorite toy
.starting to outgrow your swing.uh oh,where will you sleep?
.taking the highest dose you can of reflux medicine
.you just became aware of your feet & like to grab them
.daddy is your favorite person & I love that
.you will have your first beach experience in 2 weeks.I think you'll love it

Oh tatum.I love you more everyday and am so blessed to be your momma.you truly are the sweetest baby girl.you are always so happy and content.daddy and I love this stage and never thought we would parent such a good little girl.we pray for you everyday and love you so much.

4th of July

We had a very low key 4th this year. Billy had to work a half day so Tatum and I headed to my parents for the day. Billy wasn't feeling good when he left work so he took a nap at my parents and my dad and I went for a short motorcycle ride. We went to my aunt & uncles for a BBQ & pool time.

Tatum & Stella love the water so I think they'll enjoy the beach when we go in August.




Weird iphone lighting

We didnt stay long after dinner. Poor Billy was running fever and Tatum was so tired. His parents came up Saturday and we spent the whole day out and about. We went to the farmers market & my FIL got me these beautiful flowers



We went antiquing for the rest of the afternoon. Tatum did great but only had a 45 min nap all day. Poor girl was trying to play catch up Monday and was flat out exhausted. Billy and Tatum were in bed sound asleep by 8 so i cleaned the house & watched the Springdale Country Club fireworks from our bedroom window.
Billy stayed home yesterday & today with a fever. Its so nice having him home but hopefully Tates doesn't catch whatever it is he has.
